Job Title: Support Worker
Reports to: Registered Manager / Deputy Manager
Driving is a requirement for this role, as it is a domiciliary position involving travel between clients’ homes. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
Role Overview
The role of a Support Worker is to assist clients with various aspects of their day-to-day living, enabling them to maintain independence and enjoy the best possible quality of life. Support Workers provide practical assistance, encouragement, and companionship while promoting dignity, choice, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
This role includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
- Prompting and supporting clients with medication where appropriate
- Encouraging and promoting independence in daily activities
- Assisting with light domestic duties
- Supporting clients with nutrition and hydration
- Accompanying or assisting clients to attend appointments
- Supporting clients to access and participate in community activities
- Providing emotional support and companionship
Working Environment
Support Workers will primarily work one-to-one with clients in their own homes and within the community. The role requires working independently while maintaining professional standards and communication with management.
Regulatory Framework
Services are delivered as a non-regulated activity, and staff provide support in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
Our organisation is not regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and therefore does not provide personal care. The focus of the role is to support, guide, and enable individuals to live as independently as possible.
