We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. The Tutor will not be responsible for developing tailored lesson plans; they will be provided by the academy.
Responsibilities
- Assess students' learning styles and academic needs to create effective tutoring strategies.
- Provide small group tutoring sessions in a specific subject, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary to enhance learning outcomes.
- Create termly reports regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and motivation in students.
Skills
- Confidence working with children in an educational setting is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents.
- Knowledge of special education strategies and techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to educate and inspire students, adapting teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically.
- Strong organisational skills to manage lesson plans, schedules, and student assessments efficiently.
