About the Role
As a Dental Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our clinicians to provide outstanding treatment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing chairside support during a wide range of dental procedures
- Preparing, cleaning and sterilising instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention and control standards
- Maintaining clean, organised and fully stocked surgeries
- Ensuring all equipment is used and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines
- Supporting the care, comfort and wellbeing of patients throughout their visit
- Accurately completing and maintaining patient clinical records
- Handling materials and substances safely in line with Health & Safety, COSHH and practice policies
- Preparing laboratory work, completing laboratory prescriptions and maintaining accurate records
- Monitoring and ordering clinical stock when required
- Working closely with the reception team to ensure an excellent patient experience
- Attending practice meetings and mandatory training, including CPR and medical emergencies
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, including assisting with reception duties where required
- Following all practice policies, professional standards and the practice code of conduct
