We are a proud Ofsted Outstanding nursery, and we’re looking for a confident, caring, and motivated person to help assist our Manager and join our lovely team.
This is a really important role within our setting — you’ll be supporting the Nursery Manager day-to-day, helping lead the team, and confidently help run the nursery when the Manager is away from the setting or on annual leave. Based in a room daily initially.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting the smooth running of our busy, happy nursery
Leading and inspiring our team to maintain Outstanding standards
Managing staff and supporting their development
Building strong relationships with our children and families
Taking charge of the nursery when needed
Covering Manager when out of the setting.
What we’re looking for:
Level 3 Early Years qualification minimum
Experience in a senior or supervisory nursery role a must
Someone confident, organised, and great with people
A genuine passion for early years and high-quality care
Confident in the new Ofsted Inspection guidelines
Confident in early Years milestones and EYFS
Key Responsibilities
Act as a key point of contact for staff and parents in Safeguarding, Lado and Whistleblowing procedures.
Act as a key point of contact for staff and parents, confidently managing queries, concerns, and day-to-day issues in a professional manner
Support the effective management of staff performance, conduct, and wellbeing
Full knowledge of Safeguarding and EYFS requirements
Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with staff and parents
Strong leadership skills with the ability to be appropriately assertive and maintain clear boundaries
Confident in addressing staffing matters and parent concerns, with the ability to make decisions and uphold the standards of the setting
Able to demonstrate a firm, fair, and consistent approach to leadership
