Freelance Event Operations Coordinator (Trade Fair)

About Us
Deshapeables Tradefair is one of the UK's leading Black-owned business trade fairs, bringing together fashion, beauty, food, jewellery, wellness and lifestyle brands in London and Birmingham.
We are looking for an organised, proactive and confident Event Operations Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of our upcoming events.
This role is ideal for someone with experience coordinating exhibitions, conferences, trade shows or large-scale events.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate suppliers, contractors and venue communications
- Liaise with exhibitors before the event
- Keep project timelines and checklists updated
- Coordinate event logistics, including setup and breakdown
- Support stall allocations and exhibitor requirements
- Work with photographers, videographers and production teams
- Manage event-day operations and troubleshoot issues
- Ensure the event runs smoothly from setup to close
Requirements
Previous experience coordinating exhibitions, trade fairs, conferences or large events
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience using Google Drive, Microsoft Office and spreadsheets
- Available to work in London and Birmingham
Desirable
- Experience managing multiple suppliers and vendors
- Knowledge of exhibition or trade show operations
