Housekeeper – Part-Time
Overview
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Housekeeper to join our small hotel team in the heart of Fitzrovia, London. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our guests.
No previous experience is essential, although experience in housekeeping, commercial cleaning, or a similar role would be advantageous. We are looking for someone with a positive “can-do” attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to get involved and contribute to the smooth running of the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, floors, windows, furniture, fixtures, and other designated areas.
- Ensure all areas are maintained to a consistently high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Use cleaning equipment and products safely and efficiently.
- Replenish toiletries, paper products, cleaning supplies, and other essential items as required.
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures and hotel cleaning standards.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or concerns promptly to management.
- Keep cleaning equipment and supplies clean, organised, and safely stored.
- Assist with deep-cleaning tasks and additional housekeeping duties when required.
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of a small team.
- Maintain a professional and helpful attitude towards guests and colleagues.
Experience & Skills
- Previous housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Reliable, hardworking, and well organised.
- Able to work independently and follow instructions effectively.
- Good time-management skills and the ability to work efficiently during busy periods.
- A positive “can-do” attitude and willingness to support the wider hotel team.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach.
Working Pattern
- Part-time
- Zero-hours contract
- Approximately 6 hours per day, 5 days per week
- 30 hours per week when shifts are available
- Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays is required
- Location: Fitzrovia, London
