DDM provides award-winning, world-leading digital health interventions (i.e digital health programmes) that have peer-reviewed, published health outcomes. Our health interventions, like the Low Carb Program & Gro Health, have been featured in multiple publications including BBC with thousands of people placing their type 2 diabetes into remission.
We're looking for an experienced Product Designer as part of maternity cover to join the team behind the Gro Health app and its supporting web products. You'll own UI/UX design across mobile and web, working within an established design system that spans iOS, Android, and web platforms.
What You'll Do
- Create UI/UX designs and mock-ups for the Gro Health app and any web-based projects that can't easily be handled within Webflow.
- Design new screens, user journeys, and interface updates — iterating on existing designs and producing handover-ready assets for the Tech team.
- Partner with stakeholders to shape new functionality and improve the user experience before development begins.
- Respond to ad-hoc design requests received via Slack or on calls as new features, improvements, or design changes come up.
- Maintain and evolve the design system across iOS, Android, and web, keeping components and patterns consistent across platforms.
- Design both mobile app views and dense web dashboards, using responsive constraints so layouts hold up at any width.
- Design data-heavy interfaces including complex tables, patient charts, vitals, and similar clinical data visualisations.
- Design for multiple distinct audiences within the same product, adapting UX appropriately for each.
- Build interactive prototypes to test complex flows before they reach build.
- Prepare and manage developer handoff using Figma Dev Mode.
- Oversee and support two junior designers, reviewing their work to ensure quality and consistency, and providing guidance and mentorship.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong Figma skills, including Auto Layout and working confidently within an established design system.
- Proven experience maintaining design systems across iOS, Android, and web.
- Confidence designing both mobile app views and dense web dashboards, with responsive design skills that hold up across screen widths.
- Experience with data visualisation — complex tables, patient charts, vitals, or similar dashboards.
- An understanding of designing for different audiences within the same product.
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA (contrast, touch targets, dynamic type), and comfort designing to security and medical/regulatory requirements.
- Experience with interactive prototyping to validate complex flows before development.
- Experience with developer handoff via Figma Dev Mode.
- Strong UX/UI judgement - someone comfortable making design decisions, not just executing them.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior designers is a plus
