We are looking for a reliable and friendly Housekeeper and Kitchen Assistant to join our nursery team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a supportive environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation. We are looking for someone between around 12:00pm - 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
The Role:
Working closely with our Nursery Cook, you will help ensure the smooth running of the kitchen each day. Your role will support the preparation and delivery of healthy meals for our children. We are also looking for help in keeping our nursery environment organised and clean, this includes general cleaning and organisation and keeping on top of washing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Cook with daily kitchen duties
- Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen to a high standard
- Washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Delivering meals and snacks safely to nursery rooms
- Supporting with light food preparation on occasion
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
- General cleaning and organisation.
- Doing washes
About You:
- Reliable, organised, and hardworking
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a nursery/childcare environment
- Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene
- Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential
