Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable General Operative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the smooth operation of our food production facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This position is essential in ensuring that our production processes run efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Carry out general labour tasks as directed by supervisors
- Packing, preparing or storing food items
- Adhering to food safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records and logs of food production process
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and products
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area
- Operate machinery and equipment safely, following all safety protocols
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure compliance with food standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
- Report any issues or malfunctions to management promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a workplace setting
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement
