Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and present a diverse range of pastries, cakes, tarts, chocolates, and other confections with precision and artistry
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert recipes that align with seasonal themes and menu concepts
- Ensure all food production adheres to food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Manage ingredient inventory, monitor stock levels, and place orders to maintain seamless kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station in compliance with health regulations
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff on baking techniques, food preparation, and safety procedures
- Support the overall kitchen workflow by efficiently executing assigned tasks during busy service periods
Skills
- Extensive experience in food production, food preparation, and baking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to pastry arts, including decorating and plating skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation standards in a restaurant setting
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable for success in this role
