Site & Production Maintenance Engineer
Responsibilities

Plan, schedule and coordinate inspections, servicing and maintenance activities for site facilities and production equipment.

Manage external contractors, including inductions, permits to work and review of RAMS documentation.

Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, on time and in compliance with company and statutory requirements.

Maintain accurate maintenance, service and compliance records.

Support preventative and reactive maintenance across site facilities and production equipment.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical and plumbing issues and assist with basic electrical fault finding.

Monitor contractor performance and manage service contracts.

Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and reduce downtime.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental requirements.
Knowledge and Skills
-
Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a site, facilities or production environment.

Strong mechanical maintenance and plumbing knowledge.
-
Basic electrical fault-finding skills and understanding of safe isolation procedures.

Experience managing and supervising external contractors.
-
Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work.

Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and maintenance documentation.

Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent) desirable.

Experience with CMMS systems and statutory compliance requirements advantageous.

IOSH Managing Safely and NVQ Level 3/4 qualifications desirable.
