Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Domestic Assistant to join our team and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our care home. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating a positive living environment.
Responsibilities
1. To maintain the cleanliness of the home.
2. To clean and tidy resident’s bedrooms on a daily basis.
3. To empty bins throughout the home on a daily basis (not usually including kitchen bins)
4. To clean and eliminate any incontinent issues in regard to beds, chairs, carpets and toilet floors.
5. To maintain a fresh and odour free environment throughout the home.
6. To hoover bedrooms and communal areas on a daily basis.
7. To maintain the stocks of cleaning products and materials and to use cleaning products in accordance with instructions on bottles and COSHH guidelines.
8. To inform the Home Manager immediately of any stubborn stains in communal areas or bedrooms
9. To clean ensuites, communal toilets and bathrooms on a daily basis.
10. To wear appropriate safety equipment in regard to COSHH guidelines.
11. To follow safe working practices and use various cleaning equipment in accordance with their operating instructions.
12. To adhere to all other Health & Safety requirements including not leaving the cleaning trolley unattended and not allowing training flexes when hoovering/shampooing.
13. To attend all trainings and keep informed of all updates, as required.
14. To respect the dignity of residents and knock on doors before entering.
15. To report any operational and maintenance issues immediately to the Home Manager

Pay: £13.45 per hour
