We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant to help support our Cafe Bar team. Experience is preferred but not essential and various shift patterns are on offer both full and part time. The ideal candidate will be passionate, friendly, energetic and calm, and will play a key part in the development of our business.
You will be responsible for general kitchen cleanliness and some basic food prep tasks. Some experience would be beneficial but not essential for candidates who show a willingness to work quickly and efficiently.
Daytime shifts will start no earlier than 10am and evening shifts finish no later than 10pm.
Quality ingredients are at the heart of what we do, and we take great pride in working with the freshest, most local and seasonal produce available, celebrating and showcasing the surrounding vibrant community. We grown as many of our ingredients as possible on own farm in Backwell. As much as possible gets made on the premises and we like to keep things simple and straightforward, keeping the menus small and seasonal.

Key responsibilities for the Kitchen Porter are:
- To run the kitchen porters section cleanly and efficiently and work with our Chefs to ensure consistently high standards by adhering to the company specifications and procedures.
- Be responsive to training you are given and be a constructive member of the kitchen team.
- Work in co-operation with other departments, especially the food service department.

Tobacco Factory Cafe Bar, located on Southville’s bustling North Street is a community hub for great food, drink, music and art. We’re a spacious venue (converted from an historic factory) with lots of seating and a stage/event space inside, as well as our Yard Bar terrace and garden outside. We serve a veggie/vegan menu that uses ingredients from our own farm in Backwell and other local suppliers, alongside craft beer + cider, wines, spirits and hot drinks.
We also run a popular Sunday Market, with local makers & producers alongside Bristol’s best street-food traders.
