Digital Marketing Executive – SEO, PPC & AI Search
Media Waypoint is a small, friendly digital agency working with a varied mix of businesses across e-commerce, professional services, care, technology, retail and B2B.
We’re looking for a bright and enthusiastic Digital Marketing Executive to join us and work across SEO, Google Ads, analytics, websites and the rapidly developing world of AI search.
You don’t need to arrive knowing everything. In fact, we’d much rather find someone curious, commercially minded and keen to learn than somebody who can simply tick a long list of software boxes.
You’ll work closely with our founder, gradually taking responsibility for your own clients and campaigns, with plenty of support along the way. We also use AI extensively within the business to help us research, analyse, problem-solve and work more effectively.
JOB SUMMARY
Role: Digital Marketing Executive
Salary: £28,000–£30,000 depending on experience
Position: Full time, permanent
Location: Office based
WORKING HOURS
Full Time: 37.5 hours per week. Too many hours? Get in touch, we might be able to work something out!
Hours: 9:00am–5:30pm. Happy to be flexible.
This is the stuff you need to be made of:
We’re not expecting you to be an expert in everything. We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in digital marketing who is:
- Curious, logical and comfortable working with numbers and data
- A good written and verbal communicator
- Confident enough to build relationships with clients
- Organised and able to manage several different jobs
- Interested in SEO, paid search, websites, analytics and AI
- Happy to ask questions, but equally happy investigating and finding answers
- Proactive enough to spot something that could be better and suggest what we should do about it
Some previous digital marketing experience would be useful, whether through a job, placement, degree, freelance work or your own projects.
Above all, we’re looking for someone bright, interested and keen to develop.
We can teach platforms and processes. Curiosity and good judgement are much harder to teach.
Not Essential, But a Bonus
Experience with any of these would be useful, but don’t let it stop you applying if you haven’t used them all:
- Google Ads
- GA4 and Google Search Console
- SEO and keyword research
- WordPress
- Google Tag Manager or Merchant Centre
- AI tools such as ChatGPT
- Agency or client-facing work
This is what your day could look like:
No two clients are quite the same, which means no two days are either. You could be:
- Reviewing and improving Google Ads campaigns
- Researching keywords and helping build new PPC campaigns
- Looking for opportunities to improve a client’s organic search visibility
- Using GA4 and Google Search Console to understand website performance
- Helping create and improve landing pages and content in WordPress
- Reviewing leads, sales, conversions, ROAS and advertising spend
- Exploring how clients appear across Google and AI search
- Using AI to research markets, analyse data and investigate opportunities
- Preparing straightforward client reports and recommendations
- Speaking directly with clients about their campaigns and what we should do next
The Pay Back
In return, you’ll get:
- A genuinely varied role working across SEO, PPC, analytics, websites and AI search
- Hands-on involvement with real campaigns across a wide range of businesses
- Plenty of training and support
- The opportunity to develop your own client relationships
- Modern AI tools to help you research, learn and work more effectively
- A small team where your ideas and opinions actually matter
- Clear opportunities to progress as your experience develops
- A supportive, relaxed working environment
- Generous holiday and a flexible approach to working hours
- As much tea and coffee as you can drink
OK, enough already, where do I sign up?!
If you think this sounds like your sort of role, please send us your CV
We’re interested in what you’ve done, but we’re just as interested in how you think, what you’re interested in and where you want your career to go.
