Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable. You will assist with food preparation, bartending, and overall hospitality within our restaurant and catering services. A passion for food safety and customer service is essential.
Duties
- Assist in the presentation of food items in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and responding to guest inquiries.
- Support bartending duties, including mixing drinks and serving beverages responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, bar, and kitchen spaces.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals to guests.
- Help with catering events by setting up, serving, and clearing away food items as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations to ensure a safe dining experience for all guests.
- Assist in training new staff members on food preparation techniques and hospitality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Bartending skills are an advantage; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on providing excellent hospitality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team player who is willing to help others and contribute positively to the workplace atmosphere.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
