We're looking for an experienced Breakfast Chef to join our friendly, independent café. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing consistently great food.
You'll be responsible for running the kitchen during weekday breakfast services, so confidence, organisation and the ability to work independently are essential.
The Role
- Wednesday-Sunday
- Approx. 7:30am – 1:00pm Weekdays & 8am - 2/4pm weekend (around 30 hours per week)
- Immediate start available
- Extra hours available during holidays, busy periods and events
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and cooking high-quality breakfasts to order
- Running the kitchen independently during weekday services
- Managing multiple orders while staying calm under pressure
- Opening the kitchen and preparing for service
- Food prep and lunch preparation
- Stock rotation and maintaining excellent food hygiene standards
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef or similar kitchen role
- Confident cooking poached eggs and breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard
- Comfortable working alone and managing a busy service
- Excellent food hygiene knowledge and attention to detail
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Positive attitude with a team-first approach
