We’re Hiring – 3 Technician Positions
Due to continued growth, MAX Automotive Group Ltd is expanding our technical team and currently has three full-time positions available:
Van / LCV Technician – Workshop Based Van / LCV Technician – Workshop & Mobile HGV Technician – Workshop & Mobile
Rather than looking for one specific type of technician, we’re interested in hearing from experienced people who can strengthen our growing workshop and mobile maintenance operation.
If you have a proven track record, take pride in your work and can diagnose and repair vehicles properly, we want to hear from you.
The Roles
Depending on your experience and the position you apply for, work may include:
- Servicing and scheduled maintenance Fleet preventative maintenance Mechanical repairs Diagnostics and fault finding Electrical diagnosis and repairs Brakes, suspension and steering Timing belts, timing chains and wet belts Clutches Engine and cooling system repairs DPF, EGR and emissions diagnostics MOT preparation and repairs Vehicle health checks Mobile servicing and repairs Breakdown diagnosis and assistance Digital inspections and job cards
For HGV technicians, duties may also include:
- PMI / safety inspections HGV and trailer maintenance Air braking systems HGV diagnostics Defect rectification MOT preparation Brake testing Trailer inspections and repairs Mobile and roadside repairs
Experience Required
These are experienced technician positions.
You must have a proven track record as a Vehicle Technician, Van/LCV Technician, Mobile Mechanic or HGV Technician.
We’re particularly interested in technicians who can diagnose faults properly rather than simply replace parts until a problem disappears.
You should be:
✓ Experienced in servicing and mechanical repairs✓ Confident with diagnostics and fault finding✓ Able to work without constant supervision✓ Productive and organised✓ Focused on first-time fixes✓ Comfortable using modern diagnostic equipment✓ Able to complete digital inspections and job cards✓ Professional when dealing with customers✓ Proud of the quality of your workmanship
A full UK driving licence is required for mobile positions.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is preferred.
MOT Tester, EV & Hybrid, HGV licence and additional diagnostic qualifications are advantageous but not essential, depending on the position.
£10 Productivity Bonus
We believe productive technicians should be rewarded.
In addition to your normal hourly rate, we operate a productivity bonus scheme paying:
£10.00 for every additional productive hour achieved.
Technicians who work efficiently and generate additional productive hours therefore have the opportunity to increase their earnings considerably.
Quality and first-time fixes remain essential — the scheme rewards efficient, correctly completed work, not rushed workmanship.
Workshop or Mobile
We have opportunities to suit different technicians.
If you prefer being based in a workshop, we have a dedicated workshop-based Van/LCV Technician position.
If you enjoy getting out on the road, we also have workshop and mobile positions, with equipped MAX service vehicles supporting our fleet and commercial customers.
