ROLE: PREMISES SUPERVISOR ASSISTANT

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Premises Supervisor Assistant to assist in the management of the day-to-day operations, security, and maintenance of our multi-storey bank premises and tenanted floors.
In this role, you will report to the Premises Supervisor to help and ensure the safe, clean, and highly secure environment for our staff, visitors, tenants and premises. You will also provide vital administrative support and lunch-cover for our reception team.
Key Responsibilities
Security & Safety
- Maintain a physical and visible security presence in the main banking hall during opening hours to support staff and ensure a safe environment.
- Conduct daily periodic physical inspections of all floors, completing security checklists to protect people and property.
- Escort and supervise external contractors and engineers working on-site.
- Monitor and log safety compliance, ensuring fire exits are clear and alarm systems (intruder and fire) are fully functional.
- Accompany staff for secure cash collections from the vaults when requested.
Maintenance & Facilities
- Perform daily walkthroughs of the branch, common areas, and facilities to maintain a high standard of presentation.
- General housekeeping duties across the premises as required, including ad-hoc cleaning / clearing of cups and cutlery to maintain best standard branch cleanliness.
- Handle minor repairs (e.g., changing light bulbs or fuses) and report complex maintenance issues to specialist engineers.
- Oversee cleaning contractors, carrying out visual spot-checks and reporting any service issues.
- Manage building utilities, including restocking consumables (soap, paper towels) and taking monthly utility meter readings.
Administration & Tenant Relations
- Manage stationery stock levels, process internal orders, and keep main printers/photocopiers fully stocked.
- Handle document management, including daily document shredding and coordinating secure archive storage and destruction.
- Maintain staff kitchen supplies (tea, coffee, refreshments).
- Liaise with building tenants, sorting their daily mail, logging maintenance requests, and ensuring a great building experience.
- Provide lunchtime and holiday cover for the main Bank Reception desk.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Prior experience in facilities, corporate security, caretaking, or building maintenance.
- Skills: Strong observational skills, a hands-on approach to minor DIY fixes, and basic IT skills for administrative tasks.
- Attributes: Highly trustworthy, punctual, and possessing excellent communication skills for dealing with both corporate staff and tenants.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with UK Health and Safety / Fire Protection regulations is a distinct advantage.
Pay: £28,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
