Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse to join our Specialist Referral Dental Practice. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support the dental team, and ensure smooth clinical operations. Duties
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Provide chairside support, including suctioning, passing instruments, and recording treatment notes
- Ensure patients are well-informed about procedures and answer any questions they may have
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and manage appointment schedules efficiently
- Support with administrative tasks such as organising supplies and managing patient correspondence
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, health, and safety throughout the practice
- Offer compassionate patient care, demonstrating excellent communication skills and organisational abilities
Qualifications
- Recognised qualification as a Dental Nurse (e.g., NEBDN or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a dental nursing role
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Good IT literacy, including familiarity with dental practice management software
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
