We are looking for an experienced Class 1 Multidrop Driver with a minimum of 2 years' experience in palletised deliveries and collections—ideally within a pallet network environment.
The majority of your work will involve deliveries to business addresses using a curtain-sided 40ft trailer or an urban tail lift trailer. Most customers have forklift facilities, though you may occasionally need to use a lift-assist electric pump truck on the urban trailer (no manual handballing required).
Key Responsibilities
- Multidrop palletised deliveries & collections across Birmingham and surrounding areas
- Occasional long-distance deliveries within a 2-hour radius
- Use of curtain-sided trailers (no handball)
- Operating tail lifts and electric pump trucks when required
- Ensuring timely, safe and professional deliveries to customer sites
- A good knowledge of driving /working hours regarding tachograph regulations
- Keeping the truck and equipment clean and tidy (we use a local truck wash for the exterior of the truck and trailer to maintain the company’s brand)
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 2 years’ recent multidrop experience
- Experience with palletised freight (pallet network experience preferred)
- Valid CPC and Tacho card
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable with urban driving and business site deliveries
