The General Operative plays a key role in supporting warehouse and assembly operations by ensuring products are assembled, packed, checked, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will maintain high quality standards, contribute to inventory control, and support the wider team in achieving operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble products accurately and efficiently in line with instructions provided by the Factory Manager.
- Pick and prepare components for the assembly team to ensure smooth workflow to maximise productivity.
- Conduct quality control (QC) checks on completed assembly work to adhere to standards required by the business.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch, ensuring that all deliveries are packaged securely and presented to the required quality.
- Participate in perpetual inventory checks and full stock-taking activities as required.
- Support colleagues and contribute to team workloads as required.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and organisation throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Carry out other reasonable warehouse and operational duties as required by the business.
