About the Nursery
Footprints Montessori Day Nursery is a well‑established private setting located just one mile from the local train station, offering a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. With recent expansion and newly opened classrooms, we are looking for two dedicated Level 3 Childcare Practitioners to join our growing team.
We pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive, family‑feel culture where staff wellbeing, professional development, and high‑quality childcare are at the heart of everything we do.
The Role
We are seeking passionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Level 3 Practitioners who can deliver exceptional care and education in line with Montessori principles and EYFS standards. You will work collaboratively with the team to create a safe, inspiring, and child‑centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0–5.
Plan and deliver engaging activities following the EYFS and Montessori approach.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment.
Observe, assess, and record children’s development.
Work effectively as part of a team to support the nursery’s daily operations.
Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies at all times.
Requirements
Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
A genuine passion for childcare and early education.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to commute to West Horsley (transport or bike recommended; the nursery is 1 mile from the station).
We currently have a Practitioner who commutes daily from Canary Wharf and walks from the station in all weathers — so commuting is absolutely possible.
Benefits
Competitive salary of £29,000.
Hot lunch provided daily.
Private staff car park.
Uniform provided.
Staff outings throughout the year.
Free yoga session every Monday evening.
Nursery closed for one week over Christmas.
All Bank Holidays off.
Supportive leadership and a positive team culture.
Opportunities for professional development and progression.
