Payroll Manager - Chippenham
We are recruiting for a leading accountancy and tax firm in Chippenham seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and develop their payroll function.
This is a key role with full ownership of a diverse client payroll portfolio, combining hands-on payroll delivery, team leadership and high-level client support.
The role:
Lead, mentor and develop the payroll team
Manage weekly, fortnightly and monthly client payrolls
Oversee CIS and auto-enrolment pension compliance
Handle complex payroll calculations and statutory payments
Provide expert payroll advice and support to clients
Liaise with HMRC, pension providers and key stakeholders
Drive efficiencies and improvements across the payroll function
About you:
You'll have 3–5 years' senior payroll experience, ideally within a multi-client environment, with strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation. CIPP qualification is advantageous, although significant practical experience will be considered.
You'll be a confident leader and communicator with excellent attention to detail and a strong client-focused approach. Experience with IRIS would be an advantage.
