Little Hay Co is an Oxfordshire-based small business supplying premium hay and small pet products to customers across the UK. The Role
This is a dynamic, creative role at the heart of our brand. You’ll be responsible for bringing Little Hay Co to life across social media, building relationships with new and existing customers, and actively driving sales growth. What You’ll Be Doing
Content Creation & Social Media
- Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, photos, reels, stories, and short-form video
- Shoot lifestyle photography and plan, film, and edit drone footage for use across our channels and website
- Post daily Stories and proactively engage with our community: answering DMs, replying to comments, and keeping our audience close
- Manage our content calendars and email marketing via Klaviyo, including automations, campaigns, and segmented persona-based communications
- Write and send our bi-monthly Little Hay Fan Club newsletter and publish blogs to support SEO
Sales & Business Development
- Conduct warm-calling outreach to lapsed customers, re-engaging them and encouraging them back
- Upsell products and bundles to existing customers through personalised outreach and targeted campaigns
- Create and manage Facebook advertising campaigns to drive traffic and conversions
- Reach out to premium farm shops and independent pet retailers in the Cotswolds to discuss stocking arrangements
- Build and manage local collaborations with partners
Customer Experience & Loyalty
- Map the full customer journey and ensure every touchpoint is consistently on brand
- Set up and manage a loyalty programme for our subscribers
- Identify, reach out to, and coordinate influencer partnerships
- Monitor and respond to customer reviews on Google, Facebook, and Trustpilot
- Gather structured customer feedback and translate it into actionable insights
- Integrate SMS into our marketing and customer service workflows
- Answer our customer phone line and manage email queries professionally and warmly
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience creating content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Confident and warm communicator, comfortable on the phone and in front of a camera
- Experience with email marketing platforms
- Happy to do sales outreach and warm-calling, motivated by results
- Experience with or enthusiasm to learn drone filming, video editing, and lifestyle photography
- Analytical enough to track performance and spot opportunities for growth
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
- A genuine love of animals, nature, or rural lifestyle brands is a big plus
Probation & Progression
This role comes with a 3-month probation period. During this time, we’ll work closely with you to set clear goals and give you the support you need to settle in. On successful completion of probation and reaching agreed targets, your salary will increase to £25,000 per annum.
