Salary: £27,323 – £29,269 per annum (Scale O1–O3)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:20pm (20-minute lunch break)

Our Post-19 provision supports young autistic adults to develop the skills, confidence and independence they need for adulthood. We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Receptionist & Personal Assistant to become a key member of our team.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and making a real difference.
As the Receptionist & Personal Assistant to our Heads of Service, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, professionals and staff while providing high-quality administrative and organisational support to the Senior Leadership Team. No two days are the same, and you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our Post-19 service.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, local authorities and external professionals.
- Manage busy diaries, meetings and appointments for the Heads of Service.
- Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and follow up on actions.
- Draft correspondence, reports and other documentation.
- Manage incoming emails, telephone calls and post.
- Support recruitment administration, including interview coordination and candidate communication.
- Assist with organising annual reviews, events, parent meetings and service activities.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and confidential records.
- Process purchase orders and monitor expenditure using Xero.
- Coordinate the service calendar and support with travel arrangements.
- Provide reception cover, welcoming visitors and responding to enquiries professionally.
- Work closely with teaching staff and the wider leadership team to support the effective running of the service.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- An experienced administrator or personal assistant.
- Confident managing multiple priorities and working independently.
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Professional, approachable and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfortable working with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
- Able to remain calm and organised in a busy environment.
Experience within education, healthcare, charity or SEND settings would be an advantage but is not essential.
