Job Summary
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse working the night shift! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care during overnight hours, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being for our patients. Your expertise in anatomy and medication administration will be essential to delivering high-quality nursing services. It is a fixed term contract for 12 months for maternity leave, however there is a high likelihood of this being a permanent position.
Duties
- Deliver comprehensive patient care, including assessments, monitoring, and intervention during night hours
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely, following all protocols and regulations
- Maintain detailed and precise documentation of patient conditions, treatments, and responses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient status or emergencies
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and post-discharge care instructions
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control standards and hospital policies
Experience
- Proven experience in patient care within a hospital or clinical setting as a registered nurse
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to inform effective nursing practices
- Demonstrated ability to safely administer medications with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care
- Certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with NMC.
