Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the Match Options team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care while leading and supporting care teams within our client care homes. You will be responsible for administering medication using eMAR, maintaining accurate care records, and working closely with nurses, home managers, residents, and their families to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered.
Duties:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care that promotes residents' dignity, independence, and wellbeing
- Lead, supervise, and support Care Assistants to ensure excellent standards of care are maintained
- Administer medication safely and accurately using eMAR
- Assist residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and other daily living activities
- Create, review, and update individual care plans
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly to the Nurse in Charge or Home Manager
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care, medication, and daily records
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Encourage residents to participate in activities that promote physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable care environment while following safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant in a residential or nursing care home
- Experience administering medication using eMAR
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills
- Good understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, and care planning
- Excellent communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering outstanding care
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays as required
- Right to work in the UK
