We're looking for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operation at our busy hotel in Sunderland.
You'll be responsible for ensuring the hotel is safe, compliant and maintained to the highest standards, while leading preventative maintenance programmes, managing contractors and controlling departmental budgets. Working closely with the leadership team, you'll play a key role in protecting our assets and delivering an excellent guest experience.
What you'll do
- Lead the day-to-day maintenance operation.
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements, including fire safety, legionella and health & safety.
- Plan and deliver preventative maintenance programmes.
- Manage contractors and oversee maintenance projects.
- Control departmental budgets and monitor expenditure.
- Respond quickly to maintenance issues to minimise disruption to guests.
- Support energy-saving initiatives and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in hotel or facilities maintenance management.
- Good knowledge of building services, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC and general maintenance.
- Strong understanding of UK compliance and safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Experience managing budgets and contractors.
