Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy takeaway. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient shop operations, maintaining high food safety and customer service standards, and leading the team to achieve excellent business performance.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the shop, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure accurate timely order preparation.
- Monitor food quality and portion consistency to ensure all orders meet company standards.
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels, place supplier orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste.
- Prepare staff rotas, allocate duties, and supervise employees to maintain efficient operations and high service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Shop Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor in a takeaway, restaurant, or fast-food environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in stock control, cash handling, and rota management.
- Sound knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
