Support Worker – Mansfield Woodhouse
Hours: 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday
Occasional weekend support: Possible Saturday or Sunday when needed
Pay: £12.90 per hour

About the Role
We are looking for a kind, patient, and reliable Support Worker to support a middle‑aged lady with a learning disability and significant vision problems. She lives in Mansfield Woodhouse and needs consistent, person‑centred support to help her stay independent, safe, and confident in her daily routine.
This is a supported‑living role, focused on helping her manage everyday tasks, stay organised, and feel reassured. Some personal care support may be needed, carried out respectfully and in line with her preferences.
Hours can be arranged flexibly within the daytime.
Hours
- Monday to Friday – 5 hours per day
- Occasional weekend support (Saturday or Sunday) when required
- Flexible daytime hours to suit both parties
Key Duties
- Provide person‑centred support based on her routines, communication style, and visual needs
- Support with personal care when needed, ensuring dignity, privacy, and comfort
- Assist with daily living tasks such as preparing meals, organising her home, and keeping things tidy
- Help her move safely around her home and local area due to her vision difficulties
- Offer reassurance, emotional support, and companionship
- Support with shopping, appointments, and short community outings
- Encourage independence, confidence, and involvement in her own routine
- Maintain a safe, accessible environment and follow her support plan
- Work independently while keeping communication clear and consistent
About You
- Kind, calm, and patient
- Person‑centred and able to adapt to her pace and needs
- Reliable and confident working alone
- Experience with learning disabilities or visual impairments is helpful but not essential
- Comfortable providing personal care when required
- Good communication skills and a supportive approach
