Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Nursery Room Leader to inspire and nurture young children in a vibrant early childhood education environment. As a key leader within our team, you will oversee daily activities, ensure a safe and engaging space for children’s development, and support your team members to deliver high-quality childcare. Duties
- Lead the daily operation of the nursery room, ensuring activities are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with early childhood education principles
- Supervise and support team members, providing guidance, mentorship, and ongoing training to promote professional growth
- Create a safe, welcoming environment by implementing health and safety policies and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that promote children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, needs, and achievements
- Observe children regularly to assess developmental milestones and tailor activities accordingly
- Manage administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate records of attendance, incidents, and developmental progress
Requirements
- Proven management and leadership experience in a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong background working with children, with knowledge of early childhood education best practices
- Previous nursery experience is essential; familiarity with child development stages is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills in English to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to lead by example, motivate staff, and foster teamwork in a busy environment
- Valid childcare qualifications or certifications relevant to early childhood education (e.g., Level 3 Childcare Qualification)
- A clean driving license is preferred for transporting children or supporting nursery operations when needed
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes positive behavior
