Fixed Term Contract - 6 Months Full Time and Part Time Opportunities Available
At Hopian, we support adults, children and young people affected by domestic abuse and child sexual exploitation. Every day our work helps people find safety, regain control and rebuild their lives.
We are looking for compassionate, motivated and resilient individuals to join our Domestic Abuse Coordinated Community Response (DACCR) Team. If you are passionate about supporting survivors and want to make an immediate impact, we would love to hear from you.
Salary: £25,486 FTE
Location: Office-based at Rise House in central Rotherham.
Contract
- Fixed Term for 6 Months
- Full Time and Part Time Hours Available
- Immediate Start Available (subject to pre-employment checks)
- Potential to become permanent, subject to funding
Requests for school-hours or term-time working may be considered, subject to service needs and an agreed trial period. Salary will be adjusted accordingly.

About the Role
As part of our Initial Response Team, you will often be the first person a survivor speaks to when seeking support.
You will:
- Respond to referrals and make timely first contact with individuals seeking support.
- Complete initial risk and needs assessments.
- Provide trauma-informed support, advice and safety planning.
- Support people to access appropriate services and specialist interventions.
- Respond to helpline enquiries and requests for support.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.
- Contribute to delivering a high-quality, responsive domestic abuse service.

- Can start as soon as possible following pre-employment checks.
Experience within domestic abuse, safeguarding, support work, health, social care or related services would be advantageous, but we welcome applicants who can demonstrate transferable skills and a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable people.
