Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and skilled Groundworkers to join our team on Waste Water Treatment Projects. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assisting with the construction, installation, and maintenance of wastewater infrastructure. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure the successful completion of projects that improve community sanitation and environmental sustainability. Duties
- Assist with excavation, trenching, and site preparation using hand tools and power tools to lay foundations for wastewater treatment facilities
- Use hand tools and power tools to install pipes, fittings, and structural elements according to project specifications
- Conduct mechanical inspections of equipment and infrastructure to ensure proper functioning during construction phases,
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite by adhering to safety protocols, including proper handling of tools and materials
Experience
Proven experience as a groundworker or in a similar construction role, preferably within wastewater treatment or civil engineering projects
- Basic skills with the ability to perform repairs or assembly tasks confidently
- Proficiency in using hand tools (hammers, wrenches, shovels) and power tools (drills, saws) effectively
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, piping systems, or structural components is highly desirable
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Requirements
- Valid EUSR 1 & 2 (Cat Scan Cable Location)
- CSCS card preferred
- Proven experience in water industry or civils projects
- Must pass pre‑employment drugs & alcohol testing and comply with random testing
- Full PPE and right to work in the UK
- Machine operators and confined‑space operatives require safety‑critical medicals
Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45.0 per week
