Care Assistant
Location: Suffolk
Pay Rate: £13-£13.50 per hour
Shift Pattern: Includes days, evenings, weekends, and night shifts

We are looking for compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Care Assistants to join our care home team in Ipswich. This is an opportunity to build a rewarding career supporting older people and helping them live with dignity, independence, and comfort.
As a Care Assistant, you will deliver high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their individual needs, choices, and preferences are always respected.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care while promoting dignity, respect, and independence
- Support residents with daily living activities including washing, dressing, eating, and mobility
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
- Follow and contribute to individual care plans, ensuring care is tailored to each resident’s needs
- Support residents with social activities, companionship, and meaningful engagement
- Assist with medication administration when trained and authorised
- Observe, monitor, and report any changes in residents’ health or wellbeing
- Support health & safety procedures, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices
- Respond professionally to concerns, feedback, or changes in care needs
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Good written and spoken English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, positive, and respectful attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Basic IT skills including Microsoft Word, email, and internet use
- Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in care or with a similar client group
- Literacy and numeracy equivalent to GCSE English and Maths
