Horticultural Sales Assistant – Full Time
Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Hours: Full time, including alternate weekends
Days off: Regular weekday day off
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Horticultural Sales Assistant to join our friendly team at our family-run garden centre in Stratford-upon-Avon.
This is a customer-facing role, so a genuine interest in plants and good horticultural knowledge is essential. You will be helping customers choose plants and products for their gardens, providing advice and ensuring our plant areas are presented to a high standard.
The role will include:
- Advising customers on plants, planting and general garden care
- Selling a wide range of plants and horticultural products
- Maintaining and caring for plants to a high standard
- Keeping the plant areas clean, tidy and well presented
- Replenishing stock and assisting with deliveries
- Answering customer queries and providing friendly, knowledgeable service
- Working as part of a small, friendly family-run team
About you:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has good practical horticultural knowledge
- Is confident identifying a good range of plants and understands their growing requirements
- Enjoys talking to customers and providing helpful, friendly advice
- Has a genuine passion for gardening and horticulture
- Is reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
- Is happy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Has previous garden centre, nursery or horticultural experience, although enthusiasm and knowledge are equally important
