Job Summary
Royal Garden is a growing landscaping and garden maintenance company based in Witney, working across Oxfordshire. We specialise in creating and maintaining beautiful private gardens, delivering exceptional workmanship with a strong focus on quality, reliability and customer service.
We're looking for an Experienced Gardener / Team Leader to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role where you'll lead our maintenance team, drive a fully equipped company van, work directly with our customers and help maintain some of the area's most beautiful private gardens.
This is more than just another gardening job. We're looking for someone who genuinely takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, has excellent attention to detail and wants to grow with a company that values professionalism, trust and high standards.
The role will initially be offered on a self-employed basis for approximately 1–2 months, with the opportunity to move into a permanent employed position following a successful trial.

Responsibilities
- Carry out high-quality garden maintenance across a portfolio of private residential gardens.
- Lead and support an assistant to ensure all work is completed to Royal Garden's high standards.
- Carry out hedge trimming, pruning, lawn care, planting, weeding, seasonal tidy-ups and general garden maintenance.
- Safely operate and maintain professional gardening equipment and machinery.
- Drive and take responsibility for the company van, ensuring it remains clean, organised and well maintained.
- Build strong relationships with customers and represent Royal Garden in a professional manner.
- Identify opportunities for landscaping or garden improvement projects and report them back to the business.
- Ensure every garden is left clean, tidy and completed to an exceptional standard.
- Follow health and safety procedures while working on customers' properties.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous professional experience in garden maintenance.
- Takes genuine pride in producing high-quality work.
- Has good plant knowledge and enjoys working outdoors all year round.
- Can confidently use professional garden machinery and power tools.
- Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Enjoys providing outstanding customer service.
- Can lead and support another team member in a positive and professional manner.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.

Pay: £120.00-£160.00 per day
