Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated experienced Ballet Teacher to inspire and guide students through the art of classical ballet. In this role, you will design engaging dance curricula, lead dynamic classes, and foster a positive environment that encourages artistic growth and technical excellence. You will teacher repertoire of The London Ballet Company to the students and set spacing for the dance pieces.
Your passion for ballet and teaching will help students develop their skills, confidence, and love for dance while ensuring a safe and motivating space for all ages and skill levels. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver comprehensive ballet classes tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
- Demonstrate proper technique, posture, alignment, and movement principles aligned with classical ballet standards
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters motivation, discipline, and artistic expression
- Incorporate knowledge of anatomy to ensure safe practice and prevent injuries during training sessions
- Maintain a clean, organized studio space that promotes safety and professionalism
- Stay current with dance education trends and continuously refine teaching methods to inspire students
Experience
- Experience in sports coaching or dance instruction, with a strong background in ballet teaching and performing
- Knowledge of human anatomy relevant to dance movements to ensure safe training practices
- Demonstrated ability to teach diverse age groups and skill levels effectively
- Strong communication skills to motivate students and articulate technical concepts clearly
- Passion for nurturing talent and fostering a love for dance in others
