Moss End Farm Boarding Kennels
We're looking for an enthusiastic, reliable dog lover with a strong understanding of animal welfare and behaviour to join our small team.
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in the animal industry is preferred
- Previous experience working with dogs is essential
- Confident handling a wide range of breeds, grouping dogs appropriately and walking large groups.
- Be comfortable working alone and in a team
- Flexible availabilty
- Shifts include some weekends, bank holidays and school holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, exercise ares and equipment to a high standard
- Feeding, watering, administering medication and monitoring the health and welbeing of dogs
- Exercising and socialising dogs with appropriate supervision
- Maintaining accurate record in accordance with licensing
- General maintenance
- Providing excellent customer service to dog owners
- Identify both positive and negative behavioural indicators and act accordingly
- Understand the needs of individual animals
Full 10hr day shifts run 7:30am-12pm & 1pm-6:30pm including some weekends/Morning Shifts
This is a hands-on, physical role ideal for someone passionate about animal care and comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £12.61 per hour
