We are now seeking a proactive and organised lead Nurse to join our busy practice. This role combines clinical nursing duties with day-to-day administrative support to the Practice Manager,making it an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Management Support
- Assist the Practice Manager with compliance for regulatory standards (CQC,GDC,HTM 01-05,GDPR),risk management,and quality assurance activities.
- Support with stock control,and ordering of dental materials and consumables.
NB:Responsibilities are not exhaustive and are subject to change to meet the needs of the business.
Dental Nursing Duties
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists,maintaining cross-infection control to the highest standard.
- Prepare,sterilise,and set up instruments and materials for each patient.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure smooth running of treatment sessions.
- Support with clinical audits,stock checks,and laboratory liaison.
- Comply with all GDC and CQC requirements and keep CPD up to date.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Dental Nurse with current GDC registration.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in dental nursing (NHS or mixed practice).
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of compliance and CQC standards.
- Computer literate – experience with dental software (SOE Exact)
- A positive,proactive approach and willingness to take on additional responsibility.
