Duties
- Develop conceptual design ideas and translate them into comprehensive architectural drawings and models using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project managers to refine design concepts and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Prepare detailed construction documents, including plans, sections, elevations, and specifications that comply with building codes and regulations.
- Assist in presenting design proposals to clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating ideas visually and verbally.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather measurements, and ensure designs are feasible within the physical context.
- Coordinate with consultants and contractors during the design development phase to resolve technical issues.
- Stay current with industry trends, materials, building codes, and sustainability practices to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience in architectural design, preferably within a professional studio environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (or similar Building Information Modeling software), SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and sustainability standards such as LEED or WELL certifications is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work under deadlines.
