Are you an experienced Youth Worker or Residential Support Worker looking to take the next step in your career?
We're looking for passionate, resilient, and committed individuals to join our brand-new, fully Ofsted-registered 2-bed children's home in Birstall (LE4), supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

About the Role
As part of our dedicated care team, you will provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to children and young people, helping them develop independence, confidence, and positive life skills.
This role involves working a rota of long-day shifts with sleep-ins, providing consistency and stability for the young people in our care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Providing day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support.
- Supporting education, hobbies, appointments, and community activities.
- Managing challenging behaviours using therapeutic and positive behaviour support approaches.
- Promoting independence, resilience, and positive outcomes.
- Completing daily records, care plans, and reports to a high standard.
- Working collaboratively with families, social workers, schools, and other professionals.
- Ensuring safeguarding and children's welfare remain the highest priority.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in working with children and young people, ideally within residential care, youth work, supported accommodation, or similar settings.
- Confident supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and complex behaviours.
- Calm, resilient, patient, and able to build positive relationships.
- Flexible and willing to work long-day shifts and sleep-ins on a rota basis.
- Committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for young people.
Desirable
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
