We are currently seeking to recruit a reliable and hardworking team player to join our team at Greater Anglia (GA) Trains as a Multi-Skilled Officer (MSO). As an MSO, you will patrol and enforce at GA train stations. You will be given a rail pass to the GA network to visit the stations.
We are currently seeking 2 MSO’s, the role will be based from home, the two areas we currently require an MSO to cover are the Norwich and Bury St Edmunds areas.
Your main responsibly is to patrol the car parks ensuring that everyone is adhering to the stations Terms and Conditions, as required issuing parking charge notices (PCN). Other duties include litter picking and minor payment machines maintenance.
Summary of main role requirements
- Patrol car parks and ensure customers are adhering to the T&C’s issuing out PCN’s, included in this is ensuring there is no misuse of disabled bays, pick up/drop off points and 20/40 minute bays.
- Check all car park ticketing machines on site to ensure they are functioning correctly and report any faults with the machines.
- Ensure that you report incidents/issues relating to the car park i.e. damaged signage, fly tipping, graffiti etc to the Duty Manager/Operations Manager.
- Report any issue you feel is suspicious to the Duty Manager/Operations Manager, station staff or the Police.
- To complete any relevant paperwork required.
- Monitoring of occupancy at each location.
- Dealing with vehicles parked in an unsafe manner or causing obstruction.
- Monitoring station car parks in relation to the DfT Transport security checks, ensuring no suspicious or abandoned vehicles are present and reporting to the Supervisor/Operations Manager if present.
- Purchasing car park tickets via the ANPR system ( full training given)
- Liaising with our call centre on general customer queries
For the Norwich area a full clean driving licence is required for this role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be working 40 hours per week, on an any 5 from 7 shift pattern, Monday – Sunday including some weekends between the hours of 07:00 and 20:00. There may be requirement for occasional bank holiday working. Full training and uniform are provided.
