We need a highly capable IT & Business Systems Administrator to own our IT infrastructure, eliminate inefficiencies, and champion our systems across our London HQ and South Wales warehouse. This is your chance to make a real-world commercial impact.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
To ensure you are set up for success, we have broken down the skills and competencies required for this fast-paced role:
Required (Mandatory Prerequisites & Qualifications)
- BSc or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in an IT support or systems administration role.
Essential (The Daily Drivers)
Technical Skills
- Microsoft 365 & Workspace Administration: Strong administration of M365 ecosystems, including SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
- Endpoint Management & Patching: Proficiency in device onboarding, offboarding, and patch management using MDM/RMM tools (e.g., Action1, Microsoft Intune).
- Security Administration: Deployment and management of endpoint security and antivirus solutions (e.g., ESET Protect).
- Hardware & Infrastructure Triage: Hands-on provisioning and troubleshooting for IT hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals) and basic networking (VPN, Wi-Fi, connectivity).
- SaaS & Systems Administration: Day-to-day management of ticketing systems (e.g., Desk365), licence management, and maintaining vendor relationships.
Behavioural Competencies
- Ownership & Accountability: A highly proactive mindset with the ability to own problems through to resolution rather than simply closing tickets.
- Autonomous Working: Capability to operate independently as the sole hands-on technical resource on-site.
- Stakeholder Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to support and translate technical issues for non-technical users across the business.
- Prioritisation & Triage: Strong time management skills to balance first-line daily support with background administrative tasks.
Desirable (The "Uneek" Edge)
Technical Skills
- ERP Support: First-line support and administration experience with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central.
- Process Automation: Experience building workflows and automating repetitive manual tasks (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate).
- Telephony Administration: Experience managing and supporting cloud-based VoIP platforms (e.g., RingCentral).
- Business Systems Exposure: Familiarity with administering modern CRM and project management platforms (e.g., HubSpot, ClickUp).
- Scripting: Basic PowerShell scripting for automation of routine IT administrative tasks.
- IT Service Management: Foundation knowledge of the ITIL framework for incident and request management.
Behavioural Competencies
- SME / Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience working within a small-to-medium enterprise, ideally within the manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution sectors.
- Project Coordination: Experience assisting with or coordinating IT infrastructure projects, system rollouts, and hardware refresh cycles.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: A demonstrable history of identifying operational bottlenecks and proactively implementing technical efficiencies.
