Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our vibrant team. In this vital leadership role, you will support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of childcare, and fostering a positive environment for both children and staff. Your passion for early childhood education and strong management skills will help us deliver outstanding care and support the professional growth of our team.
Duties
- Assist the Nursery Manager in managing daily nursery operations, including staff scheduling and resource allocation
- Support the implementation of curriculum plans that promote early childhood development and learning
- Lead by example in delivering high-quality childcare, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards
- Supervise staff members, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents, children, staff, and external agencies to foster positive relationships
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene policies are rigorously followed across the nursery
- Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence
Experience
- Proven management experience within a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood education or childcare roles
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices in nursery settings
- Valid driving license preferred for operational flexibility
- Demonstrated commitment to child safety, wellbeing, and developmental needs
