Working for Unity Build and Repair our dynamic team of multi-skilled contractors provide all aspects of property maintenance and repair. You will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance within the properties mainly in the PL4 area and will be responsible for ensuring that statutory compliance is maintained at all times.
The role requires the postholder to be competent, able to work with minimal direct supervision and have a full UK Driving Licence, their own transport and tools. Good plumbing skills, basic carpentry, electrics and Painting and Decorating are also essential. This is an employed position.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience of residential property maintenance with the ability to work across various trade disciplines to a reasonable standard.
- Excellent customer care skills with the ability to report outstanding actions and to keep our maintenance co-ordinator informed of progress.
- Experience of prioritising workload to meet competing deadlines without close supervision.
- To be proactive in approach, with the ability to use initiative and resolve issues or problems quickly and effectively.
- Ability to work in a team and have a flexible approach to work.
- Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Own van and tools is essential
- Must be prepared to work at height ( some jobs require roofing/gutter checks and minor repairs)
Wage dependant on experience.
