Overview
We are looking for a reliable, organised and friendly Centre Administrator to support the smooth day-to-day running of our centre. The successful candidate will provide administrative and reception support, assist visitors, maintain accurate records and help ensure the centre operates efficiently during afternoon and evening sessions.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist students, parents, visitors and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage reception duties and respond to telephone calls, emails and general enquiries.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, registers and centre documentation.
- Support staff with general administrative tasks and data entry.
- Manage bookings, appointments and room/schedule arrangements where required.
- Prepare and organise documents, forms and correspondence.
- Monitor the centre during opening hours and report any issues to the Centre Manager.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling personal and administrative information.
- Assist with basic financial administration, including payments and receipts, where required.
- Ensure the reception and administrative areas are organised and presentable.
- Follow the centre's health and safety, safeguarding and other relevant policies.
- Support the Centre Manager and wider team with other reasonable administrative duties.
- Proven office experience with a strong understanding of administrative procedures
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications
- Prior clerical experience involving data entry, filing, and document management
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Strong typing skills for quick and accurate data entry
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus
- Exceptional phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in all interactions
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative, reception or customer-service role.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email and basic computer systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional, approachable and helpful manner.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Reliable and punctual, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends
