Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.
The successful applicant will play a key role in creating a vibrant atmosphere while ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the bar service.
Duties
- Supervise and lead the bar team, including bartenders and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Saturday & Sunday role with cover for holidays and busy periods.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of beverages and ingredients
- Ensure efficient operation of the bar during busy periods, including supervising the serving process and handling customer enquiries
- Develop innovative drink menus in collaboration with the culinary team to enhance guest experience
- Handle customer complaints professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor financial transactions, including cash handling and billing procedures
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive reviews
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment, ideally as a Bar Manager or similar leadership role
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing stock levels and operational procedures
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to oversee multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Personal License is essential.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to food service environments
