Job Introduction
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced administrator to join the Adolescent Safeguarding Team as a Business Support Officer. This is a key role within Children’s Services, supporting Social Workers with uploading case information and assisting with processes to help achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
The post will provide administrative support to the service, including convening and minuting various Child Protection and legal meetings, mailbox management, data entry, and general administrative duties, often involving sensitive and confidential information.
Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will manage your workload effectively and ensure all processes are completed within required timescales. This role offers an agile working style, with a mixture of home and office-based working.
Key Responsibilities
Convene and minute strategy discussions, legal meetings, workbooks, and other service meetings- Ensure the timely completion of service processes in line with statutory requirements
- Handle highly sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Support the coordination and administration of meetings and related processes
- Maintain and update information across key systems
- Liaise with colleagues, partners, and agencies to support service delivery
We are looking for someone with strong administrative experience who can work accurately and maintain attention to detail under pressure. You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be confident using a range of IT systems and producing written documentation to a high standard.
A relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent) is desirable, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Workplace Attendance: Working in the office 3+ days a week (pro-rata) or onsite full time.
