Were looking for someone to be part of our team to help out with providing nutritous food for our residents, this would involve arriving at 2.30pm to serve afternoon tea, to our residents, and prepare an evening meal, . It would be beneficial if this person is able to also prepare our lunch time meals from time to time if we have staff shortages, ideally but not essential someone that can be flexible.
We are currently looking for someone to work Monday through to Wednesday and then Saturday and Sunday..
Food Hygiene Certificate preferred but not essential as training will be given.
Start time 2.30pm / 6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, but willing to split into two roles if applicant does not want to work every weekend
Prepare menus and agree them with the service users and the manager, including any service user preferences, special diets and specific foods as needed
Prepare and serve all meals in a timely manner
The Chef’s/Cook’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:·
Operate an efficient stock control system
Ensure supplied equipment is used with care, in accordance with suppliers’ instructions and training
Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any faults immediately. If any machine is felt to be dangerous, withdraw it from service immediately
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals the service supports.
