Bath Road MOT Centre is a busy, independent garage and MOT testing station. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality service to our retail customers and ensuring our sales vehicles from E & R Motors are prepared to the highest standards. We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join our team and help us drive our business forward.
We are seeking a technician who is "back to basics" focused—someone who values quality workmanship, efficiency, and clear communication. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from routine servicing and complex mechanical repairs to thorough preparation of our sales inventory.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on all makes and models.
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic checks and fault finding.
- Execute mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, exhausts, and more.
- Prepare sales cars to a high standard, including oil changes, health checks, and necessary rectifications.
- Support our MOT tester with pre-MOT checks and minor repairs.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within estimated timeframes.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a passion for automotive excellence.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in a professional garage environment.
- Proficient in vehicle diagnostics and general mechanical repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dedicated team.
